The Johnson-Brock Eagles waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 15 straight wins but they left with 16. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sterling 65-11 on the road. Johnson-Brock has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson-Brock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklyn Behrends, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Behrends hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Taryn Ottemann, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Johnson-Brock's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Johnson-Brock will square off against the Griffin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Diller-Odell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Eagles are ranked 30th). As for Sterling, they will be playing at home against the Falcons on Tuesday. Freeman is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
