North Miami Beach is 7-0 against Mourning since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The North Miami Beach Chargers will be staying on the road to face off against the Mourning Sharks at 3:30 p.m. on January 17th. North Miami Beach's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Mourning's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Last Thursday, North Miami Beach lost to North Miami on the road by a decisive 41-22 margin.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Vanejia Bryant, who scored seven points along with three steals. Bryant is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Laila Henderson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mourning waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 33-20 victory over Hialeah Gardens.
North Miami Beach's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4. As for Mourning, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.
North Miami Beach was able to grind out a solid win over Mourning in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, winning 22-12. Will North Miami Beach repeat their success, or does Mourning have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
