Hobart is 2-8 against Munster since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Brickies will challenge the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Saturday, Hobart made easy work of Pioneer and carried off a 19-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Brickies.

Addisyn Johnson was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Ladan Weinman, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Hobart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Munster had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Thursday. They never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.
Ally Compton made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Caroline Wendlinger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Brooklyn Kuna was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Munster pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Hobart, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both Hobart and Munster just can't seem to miss. The Brickies have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Munster struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hobart couldn't quite get it done against Munster when the teams last played back in April as they fell 9-5. Can the Brickies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
