Madison has been on the road for four straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. After both having extra time off, the Madison Bobcats and the Blackfoot Broncos will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Madison faced Owyhee in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Madison took a 85-66 bruising from Owyhee.
Meanwhile, Blackfoot had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 58-57 victory over Rigby.
Blackfoot had a senior duo take command as Colby Bodkin scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals and Carter Andersen scored 17 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Dax Whitney, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Madison's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2. As for Blackfoot, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Madison was able to grind out a solid win over Blackfoot when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 62-54. Will Madison repeat their success, or does Blackfoot have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
