It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Seagoville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 51-47 victory over the North Mesquite Stallions. The win was familiar territory for the Dragons, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Mason Maxfield had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Twone Long, who posted eight points and six rebounds.
Mason Adams and Micah Vaughn certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Adams went 6-for-14 en route to 19 points, while Vaughn put up 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals. North Mesquite is 5-2 when Vaughn posts three or more steals, but 10-14 otherwise.
Seagoville's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for North Mesquite, they now have a losing record of 15-16.
