After three games on the road, Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences is heading back home. They will take on the East Valley Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences made off with a 46-45 victory over Canoga Park.
Meanwhile, East Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Fulton on Friday, taking the game 52-45.
East Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lukas Carone out in front who scored 23 points along with two steals. Carone hasn't dropped below 15points for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasper Mejia, who dropped a double-double on 13 rebounds and ten assists.
Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for East Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences couldn't quite finish off East Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 69-66. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Carone, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
