Lone Tree had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They fell just short of Midland by a score of 47-50. If Lone Tree were hoping for some payback for the 20-52 loss against Midland the last time the two teams met, then they were disappointed. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Lone Tree off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Midland a 1-0 record.
Next week, Lone Tree take on Montezuma at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Lone Tree and Montezuma will really light up the scoreboard. As for Midland, they will face of against Meskwaki Settlement.
