All Saints' Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 68-48 walloping at the hands of the Vikings on Friday. All Saints' Academy has struggled against the Vikings recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaelen Randall, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Randall has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Claudarius Bell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals and two blocks.
All Saints' Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Leading Lakeland Christian to victory were Matthew Stephens and Porter Stiles. Stephens scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Stiles almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stiles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Carpenter, who scored 11 points.
All Saints' Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Lakeland Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. All Saints' Academy will take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. City of Life Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Lakeland Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Miners at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Meade is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
