The Reagan Bison will square off against the North Miami Beach Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Reagan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Monday, Reagan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-32 to Jackson. The Bison have struggled against the Generals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Sophia Naranjo-Palma put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 12 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Nicole Ivanesciuc, who put up four points along with six rebounds and six blocks.
Even though they lost, Reagan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after only 19 points in their last contest, North Miami Beach made sure to put some points up on the board against Coral Gables on Friday. North Miami Beach blew past Coral Gables 67-15. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 30 points or more this season.
Reagan better focus on containing Serena Volcy and Yoshaney Cayaso as the pair were huge in North Miami Beach's win. Volcy went 13 of 18 en route to 27 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Cayaso dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most points Cayaso has posted since back in February of 2024. Queen Harrell was another key player, putting up eight points.
North Miami Beach is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Reagan, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Reagan has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 36.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like North Miami Beach struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Reagan took a serious blow against North Miami Beach in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 41-3. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Miami Beach's Laila Henderson, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 17 points and eight rebounds. Now that Reagan knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
