They managed a 46-40 win over Concordia Lutheran. Given Antonian Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Concordia Lutheran is ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Antonian Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyzarriah Fox, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals. Fox has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Copeland, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Antonian Prep is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 31-7 record this season. As for Concordia Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-8.
Antonian Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-42 victory vs. St. Agnes Academy on the 10th. Concordia Lutheran will head out on the road to square off against St. Pius X at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
