If Neuse Christian Academy was feeling good  fresh off their  44-24 takedown of Friendship Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Neuse Christian Academy Lions took a hard  35-19 fall against the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights on Friday. The  game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.

 Neuse Christian Academy lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Lyla Lindstrom, who  posted ten points along with six  rebounds and three  steals. Lindstrom is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Morgan Little was another key player,  putting up six points and six  rebounds.
 It was another big night for  Elizabeth Rowland, who  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and 17  rebounds for Thales Academy Rolesville. The team also got some help courtesy of  Julia Van Valkenburg, who  had three points and five  steals.
Neuse Christian Academy dropped their record down to 5-3 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Neuse Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  42-14  victory against Southside Christian on the 17th. After both having extra time off, Thales Academy Rolesville and Durham Flight HomeSchool will shake off the cobwebs and  take on  one another  at 5:30  p.m.  on January 2, 2025.
