They were just one part of a punishing run game: Strom Thurmond was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 216 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Fairfield Central took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over Clinton. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
