Basketball Recap: Lake Ridge Picks Up 12th Consecutive Win

Lake Ridge waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They put the hurt on the Boswell Pioneers with a sharp 76-54 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Lake Ridge had a senior duo take command as Abisayo Gbakinro almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards and Shaqir Pack went 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds. Those nine rebounds gave Gbakinro a new career-high. Maxwell Irving also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Lake Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Lake Ridge's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 32-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for Boswell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-18.

As of now, neither Lake Ridge nor Boswell have any future games scheduled.
