The Chester County Eagles entered their tilt with the Jackson South Side Hawks with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Chester County came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 42-29 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chester County also won the last time the pair played on January 12th.
When it comes to explaining why Jackson South Side lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaidynn Askins. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Askins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Felicity Long was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Chester County pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Jackson South Side, their loss ended an 18-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-6.
Chester County will head out on the road to face off against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McNairy Central is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Jackson South Side, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson North Side comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
