The Anna Coyotes's game on Thursday was all tied up 36-36 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 72-62 to Lone Star. While losing is never fun, Anna can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while Lone Star is ranked 139th).
Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sebastian Myer, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The match was Myer's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Webber, who scored 15 points.
Anna's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9. As for Lone Star, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
