Basketball Recap: Tenor Piles Up the Points Against St. Anthony

Tenor won the last time they faced St. Anthony and things went their way on Tuesday too. Tenor blew past the St. Anthony Roman Legion 63-35. Tenor has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 24 points or more this season.

Tenor got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anton Bounds out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Bounds is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Shane Emanuel, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Tenor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Tenor's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.4 points. As for St. Anthony, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Tenor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-37 victory against Cristo Rey on the 30th. As for St. Anthony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-38 win against University Lake/Trinity Academy on the 30th.
