Canton Academy had a rough outing against St. Joseph last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Canton Academy were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Memphis Nighthawks 42-6. The success represented a nice turnaround for Canton Academy, who in their last game suffered a tough 21-50 defeat.
Canton Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but freshman Dakota Jordan led the charge as he rushed for 53 yards and 1 touchdown.
The win got Canton Academy back to even at 2-2. Memphis Nighthawks are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Canton Academy will stay at home next week against Tri-County Academy. As for Memphis Nighthawks, they will face off against Rossville Christian Academy. Memphis Nighthawks come in off of 3 low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
