Basketball Game Preview: Christian Life Preparatory Knights vs. Covenant Classical Cavaliers

Christian Life Preparatory is 7-2 against Covenant Classical since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Christian Life Preparatory Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Covenant Classical Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. Christian Life Preparatory will be strutting in after a victory while Covenant Classical will be coming in after a loss.

Christian Life Preparatory took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Fellowship Academy by a score of 57-47.

Christian Life Preparatory's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Roberts, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Roberts a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of David Wardlaw, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and five steals.

Meanwhile, Covenant Classical was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-43 to Calvary Academy.

Christian Life Preparatory will need focus on slowing down Jack Mohon, one of several Covenant Classical players who made an impact when they last played. He earned six points. Another player making a difference was Cole Briley, who had nine points.

Christian Life Preparatory's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14. As for Covenant Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.

Christian Life Preparatory ended up a good deal behind Covenant Classical in their previous meeting back in January, losing 57-43. Can Christian Life Preparatory avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
