The Ocean View Seahawks fell victim to the Westminster Lions''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Lions 28-0. Ocean View just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Benny Burns ii, who threw for 75 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jason Mejia also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Ocean View's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Westminster, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocean View will take on Godinez Fundamental at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Godinez Fundamental is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Westminster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Laguna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Laguna Beach is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
