The Braddock Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Mater Academy Charter Lions, and things went their way on Friday too. Braddock strolled past Mater Academy Charter with points to spare, taking the game 51-33.
Braddock was led to victory by Yvonne Jebian and Elsa Stier . Jebian scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Stier dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Stier 's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Rubiera , who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Braddock has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Mater Academy Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Braddock will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on TERRA Environmental at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024. Hopefully TERRA Environmental focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. Mater Academy Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gulliver Prep at 3:30 p.m. on January 15, 2024.
