Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mineola). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Eustace Bulldogs 51-6. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-6.
Aidan Shepherd had an outrageously good game as he picked up 122 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.
Mineola moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Eustace, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
Looking ahead, Mineola will welcome Rains at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.78 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Eustace does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
