Lyle/Pacelli is 8-2 against the Lions since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The two teams will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lyle/Pacelli is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Lyle/Pacelli was beaten by the Burros 54-24.
Meanwhile, Schaeffer Academy earned a 53-42 victory over the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Schaeffer Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lillian Morrisey, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Morrisey hasn't dropped below three blocks for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Winona Morgan, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.
Lyle/Pacelli's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Schaeffer Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
Lyle/Pacelli came up short against the Lions in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 37-32. Can Lyle/Pacelli avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
