Softball Recap: Forest Has No Trouble Against Raymond

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mendenhall, Forest was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Raymond Rangers 23-11. The contest marked the Bearcats' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Forest's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Raymond, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Forest will challenge Pelahatchie at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chiefs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.18 runs per game on average), something the Bearcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Raymond, they will square off against Mendenhall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Rangers surely won't give up without a fight.
