Hoover extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Riley Johnson. The Hoover Huskies enjoyed a cozy 65-51 win over the Lincoln County Panthers on Friday thanks in part to Johnson, who posted 19 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln County lost, don't look at Eli Smith. Despite the final result, he went 11 for 22 on his way to 26 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. That was a full 51% of Lincoln County's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Dawson Adkins was another key player, putting up seven points.

Hoover's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Lincoln County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
