This season hasn't been kind to the Potomac Wolverines, who are still winless after their 11th contest. They were beaten by Gwynn Park 78-11 on Monday. Potomac was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-6.
Gwynn Park's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was O'Liyah Contee, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Contee has scored all season. Nala Abraham was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Potomac's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Gwynn Park, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Potomac won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
