Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Westlake Wolverines, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 35-0 loss at the hands of Huntingtown. Westlake has struggled against Huntingtown recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Huntingtown was led to victory by Landon Cawley and Evan Kuntz. Cawley rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while Kuntz rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Trenton DePompa got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Huntingtown, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Huntingtown will face off against Potomac at TBD on Friday. Potomac is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
