The Reno Huskies will square off against the Damonte Ranch Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Reno turned things around against Carson on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Senators with a sharp 15-4 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Kailyn Carter was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Ries Maxwell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Reno always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Damonte Ranch faced McQueen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Lancers. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Damonte Ranch let Madeline Wackowski and Stella Mares run wild. Wackowski went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Mares went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Wackowski has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Bella Mamola, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Damonte Ranch's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Reno has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Damonte Ranch, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given Reno's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Reno might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Damonte Ranch in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Huskies have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
