Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hampton). They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the North Catholic Trojans on Tuesday. The Talbots haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Hampton pushed their record up to 5-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for North Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hampton is set to square off against their familiar foe Hopewell at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Catholic will face off against rival Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
