After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Richmond, the Caro Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Peck with points to spare, taking the game 58-40.
Despite the loss, Peck saw an underclassman step up: Thomas West dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The game was West's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Heiden, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Caro now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Peck, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caro will take on Vassar at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Vassar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 693rd, while Caro is ranked 318th). As for Peck, they will head out on the road to face off against Deckerville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
