The Lake Worth Bullfrogs will challenge the Alvarado Indians at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both  are strolling into their  matchups after big wins in their previous games.
 Having struggled with eight  losses in a row dating back to last season, Lake Worth finally turned things around against Life Waxahachie  on Friday. They took their  game on the road  with ease, bagging  a  66-20 victory over the Mustangs. With the Bullfrogs ahead  42-14 at the half, the  match was all but over already.
 Lake Worth got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Garion Peoples out in front who rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Peoples' longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.  Gavin Tovar also helped with three touchdowns in total.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lake Worth was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 354  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted  since  the start of last season.
 Meanwhile, Alvarado put another one in the bag  on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Ranchview 48-14 on the road. Considering the Indians have won five contests by more than 20  points this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Alvarado's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Cardea Collier, who threw for 242 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and   Demarcus Belton, who gained 231 total yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lance Sansom, who picked up 54 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
 Alvarado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Aidan Herington and  Sansom. Another thorn in Ranchview's side was  Logan Woolard, who picked up  a  sack, forced a fumble,  and made seven total tackles.
 Lake Worth's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Alvarado, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Lake Worth came out on top in a nail-biter against Alvarado when the teams last played  back in November of 2022, sneaking past  23-20. Will Lake Worth repeat their success,  or does  Alvarado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
