Paradise Honors has gone a perfect 4-0 against Shadow Mountain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Paradise Honors will be playing in front of their home fans against Shadow Mountain at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Paradise Honors is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Peoria a 21-0 shutout on Friday. The victory continues a trend for Paradise Honors in their matchups with Peoria: they've now won six in a row.
Charlotte Glenn made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Paradise Honors got a massive performance out of Anna Landa, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Landa a new career-high. Vanessa Colby was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Paradise Honors hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Shadow Mountain put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Coronado 22-11. While the Matadors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Alayna Estrada was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ava Maroulis, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Shadow Mountain pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 16.4 runs this season. As for Paradise Honors, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Paradise Honors hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. However, it's not like Shadow Mountain struggles in that department as they've averaged .536. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
