It was a good run, but the Eastwood Troopers unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 69-57 to Franklin. Eastwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Franklin apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Eastwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Devin Falk-Ramirez. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Falk-Ramirez is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. Marcus Bennett was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three blocks.
Franklin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jazhiel Herrera, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Hall, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Eastwood's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-10. As for Franklin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.
Eastwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastlake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastwood is coming into the contest with 17 straight losses at home, so Eastlake is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to take on El Dorado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin is facing El Dorado at the right time seeing as El Dorado is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
