The Santaluces Chiefs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Park Vista on the road by a decisive 65-46 margin. Santaluces has struggled against Park Vista recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Santaluces still got an impressive performance from Decarious Jenkins, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Michael Hamilton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Trenten Watkins was on fire for Park Vista: he scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Watkins scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristen Etienne, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Santaluces' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Park Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santaluces will take on Jupiter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Park Vista, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Boynton Beach at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Boynton Beach is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
