Justin Lucas of Notasulga ran for the longest rushing play in 1A Region 4 this season against Reeltown last week. Lucas ran for 99 yards on the play and finished with 168 on the day as his team fell to the Rebels.
St. Jude Educational Institute took down Autaugaville 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Notasulga's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lucas threw for 57 yards and Lucas had 55 yards receiving. Martavious Brown helped Notasulga's passing attack out by catching one ball for two yards.
The Pirates' Tony Minefield and Kendall Richardson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Minefield has thrown for 1283 yards this season, while Richardson, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 21 catches for 473 yards. James Lucas' team's Marlon Page leads the league in rushing yards with 1168.
St. Jude Educational Institute led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Eagles.
