There's no place like home for the Southeast Golden Buffalo, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Kapaun Mt. Carmel by a score of 61-54 on Tuesday. With that victory, Southeast brought their scoring average up to 55 points per game.
Southeast got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alana Webb out in front who scored 28 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Webb has scored at least 25% of Southeast's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leela Jones, who scored 15 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Kapaun Mt. Carmel lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lizzie Romer. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ella Rudy, who scored 9 points.
The win got Southeast back to even at 1-1. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Southeast will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against South at 6:00 p.m.
