Even though the Jefferson Mustangs scored an imposing 34 points on Thursday, the Harlandale Indians still came out on top. Harlandale took their match against Jefferson 47-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Harlandale also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Harlandale got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Saucedo out in front who threw for 312 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Michael Palomino, who picked up 215 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Harlandale's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harlandale will take on McCollum at 7:00 p.m. on November 4th. McCollum is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Edison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
