The Riverside Rangers will be playing at home against the Anthony Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Riverside posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Clint 66-36 at home. With Riverside ahead 39-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Marcus Jauregui and Luis Rodriguez were among the main playmakers for Riverside as the former scored 14 points and the latter scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Carlos D Rojas, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Anthony waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over Clint.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Anthony, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Riverside came up short against Anthony in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 47-43. Can Riverside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
