Shaker never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Shenendehowa Plainsmen 6-0. Considering the Bison have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Shaker let Jason Bailey and Tye Mariano run wild. Bailey went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Mariano went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave Mariano a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Akley, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Shaker's record now sits at 10-3. As for Shenendehowa, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shaker will head out to challenge Christian Brothers Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Shenendehowa, they will venture away from home to take on Ballston Spa at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Scotties' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Plainsmen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
