After a string of three wins, the Hartford Central Tanagers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 50-35 fall against Corinth. Hartford Central has struggled against Corinth recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Hartford Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alawnah Dunda, who scored six points along with nine rebounds. Dunda has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Raeghan Liebig, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Hartford Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Corinth, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
Hartford Central the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Fort Ann at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st. Fort Ann is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Corinth, they will head out on the road to take on South Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
