BRISTOL, Vt. - The defense did their part on the scoring end for for
Mt. Abraham/Vergennes (Bristol, Vt.) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Eagles bested
Oxbow (Bradford, Vt.) 36-21.
After taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter, the Eagles were up 36-0 at the half.
With the win Mt. Abraham/Vergennes extended its winning streak to five games. Mt. Abraham/Vergennes defeated Windsor 34-32 last week.
The loss comes after Oxbow defeated Springfield 36-24 last week.
Mt. Abraham/Vergennes (5-1) will play a Division III game against Mill River next week, while Oxbow (2-4) will take on Mt. St. Joseph Academy also in a Division III game.
