Basketball Recap: Mid-Moore Christian Beats Life Christian for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Mid-Moore Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 71-48 margin over the Life Christian Eagles. The Tornados have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Mid-Moore Christian was led to victory by Caeson Moore and Dayton Crawley. Moore posted 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals, while Crawley had 23 points. The matchup was Moore's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Samuel Spivey, who put up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Mid-Moore Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Life Christian, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-3.

After both having extra time off, Mid-Moore Christian and Cristo Rey will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another on January 7, 2025. Mid-Moore Christian is facing Cristo Rey at the right time seeing as Cristo Rey is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Life Christian will take on Dewar in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
