Woodberry Forest extended the longest winning streak in VISAA Virginia Prep this week by beating Fork Union Military Academy, 51-10. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Tigers.
Woodberry Forest took down the Blue Devils 51-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hunter Etheridge threw for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 13 yards during the win.
The Tigers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Harold Minor contributed 69 yards. Banks Hagood helped Woodberry Forest's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 12 yards.
Minor was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 69 yards on 14 carries as Woodberry Forest bested Fork Union Military Academy. Teammate James Hewell added to the ground attack by rushing for 58 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Sam Allen and Rashon Torrence, the Blue Devils have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Allen is tops in the league in passing with 731 yards, while Torrence has rushed for 1,025 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Tigers' Asher, with 317 yards on 22 catches.
Woodberry Forest led the league in scoring this week by notching 51 points on Fork Union Military Academy. Etheridge ran for 13 yards in the win.
