Ropes has gone a perfect 3-0 against Plains recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will square off against the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. Ropes is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Ropes took their contest with ease, bagging a 51-21 victory over Seagraves. The result was nothing new for Ropes, who have now won eight matchups by 30 points or more so far this season.
Ropes' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryland Kieth, who rushed for 76 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also caught one touchdown. Zayden Pittman also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ropes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Ropes' defense and their three sacks. In that department, Tucker Corn was the leader with two. He has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last eight times he's played. Another thorn in Seagraves' side was Kolter Dockery, who made 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Meanwhile, Plains got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They enjoyed a cozy 20-6 victory over Smyer. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Ropes better keep an eye on Braylon Ward. He was instrumental in Plains' win, rushing for 199 yards while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. What's more, Ward racked up 22 receiving yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.
Plains didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ward and Brady Robles.
Ropes' record now sits at 8-1. As for Plains, their record is now 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Ropes against Plains in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 63-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
