Sandusky is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Columbian is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Sandusky Blue Streaks will take on the Columbian Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Sandusky pushed their score all the way to 59 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-59 to Ashland.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Columbian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Huron by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. The score was all tied up 16-16 at the break, but Columbian was the better team in the second half.
Sandusky now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Columbian, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-7.
Sandusky skirted past Columbian 45-43 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Will Sandusky repeat their success, or does Columbian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
