Snake River kicked off their season on the road  on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 14-3 walloping at the hands of the Malad Dragons. Snake River was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Malad apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2022.
  Hailee Nash was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.  Elizabeth Taylor was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 On Malad's side,  Adley Kimberling was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaitlyn Pickett, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Snake River will take on Bear Lake at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Malad, they will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marsh Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on April 2nd.
