Russellville is 0-10 against Eugene since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Russellville Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Eugene Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Russellville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Eugene is ranked 30th).
Russellville suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 77-33 to Montgomery County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Russellville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Eugene waltzed into their contest on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They had just enough and edged Capital City out 74-72. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Eugene has posted yet this season.
Russellville bumped their record down to 4-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Eugene, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.
Russellville came up short against Eugene when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 85-76. Can Russellville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
