The LaMoille Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Amboy. LaMoille lost against Amboy in their previous head to head back in November of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-23 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why LaMoille lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brayden Klein. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with 3 steals. Klein scored a full 38.1% of LaMoille's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhett Cowser, who scored 9 points.
LaMoille's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Amboy, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaMoille will take on Henry-Senachwine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Amboy, they will be playing at home against Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
