The Barr-Reeve Vikings entered their tilt with the Shakamak Lakers with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Barr-Reeve claimed a resounding 70-29 win over Shakamak at home. Barr-Reeve's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Seth Wagler, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Braydon Knepp was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six assists.
Barr-Reeve's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Shakamak, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Barr-Reeve will face off against White River Valley at TBD on Saturday. White River Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Shakamak won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eminence on January 5th. Eminence has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
