Volleyball Recap: West Has No Trouble Against Independence

West won the last time they faced Independence and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cowboys blew past the 76ers 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cowboys.

While West might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Independence scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 26-24.

Maxwell Scott paced West's offense, picking up 13 kills. Scott got some help from Edwin Perez and his 17 assists.

West's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Independence, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, West and Independence will both be playing Walnut Ridge the next time they take the court. The Cowboys will head out to face the Scots at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the 76ers will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th.
