Caylee Clement was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last five matches.
They weren't the only good servers: Abbotsford was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Edgar got the win against Assumption on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Edgar was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-6, 25-13.
Edgar had a senior duo take command as Brandi Halverson had 18 assists and four digs and Kaitlynn Hartnady had nine digs and three assists. Charlie Streit also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Abbotsford's victory bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Edgar, their win bumped their record up to 22-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Abbotsford has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.9 aces per game. However, it's not like Edgar struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
